First sleepover......

Last weekend, me and Emily took Alex and Bay to see Enchanted at the last theater in town that had it still playing. It was a really cute movie that I will definitely be buying! We stopped at good ol' Chic-fil-a and had us some chicken nuggets and headed home to have Bay over for the two girls first sleepover. It went really well, they were so excited that they just couldn't close their eyes until about 10:30 they finally gave up. It was a little hard because we had 8:00 church the next day but they sure did have a blast!! Thanks for the good times girls!!

"Scooner"

Jake has a new hobby!! He watched Alex enough and started to get brave and ride her scooter around alot. We saw how good he was getting and how much he loved to be outside and ride it so we thought a few weeks ago we could hit two birds with one stone. Jake still had his "bink" at night in bed and we thought it was time to seperate the two. We decided that maybe we could bribe him into getting his own scooter if he threw away his binky. We both didn't really know what to expect but when we had a little talk with him and explained he was a big boy now and that he didn't need his "bink" and that a big boy should have his own scooter, he went for it. WHEW! He threw his binky away and we headed to the store and got him a "Pider" scooter. That night we were a little nervous on what he would do after he realized what he had done, but with a quick cry and maybe a little shunning us for a bit he got over it and did fine. I have to say he doesn't take quite as long of naps now but with one of the many milestones hit we feel grateful. I also have to say it is quite hilarious that a short little guy that can barely see over the bars of his scooter can be so good at it! He will go down big hills and crash and stand right back up and just laugh it off. He is quite the character.

Mommy getaway....

I got the chance to go to my little nephew Cole's baby blessing, and not only did I get to go but I got to go all by myself!! Yeah!! It was fun to get to hangout with family and not have to worry about all the craziness of the kids many demands. Cam was Mr. Mom and seemed to really have a great time with the kids. He said they "bonded," i'm not sure if that means they ate icecream for dinner and never got out of their jammies, but the house was still standing when I got home.
We loved to snuggle.
Aunt Mandy couldn't resist the chance to play with all that hair!
What a cute kid!

Mommy's little helpers...

We got alot of rain a couple of weeks ago and our car was a mess,
all I had to do was say "car wash" and the kids ran for the door.
He was serious about his job!

Alex loved to put the soap in the bowl!

Finally a Harman cousin!!

The three cousins!!!
Jake pretending to watch the TV while really thinking "this little dude sitting by me is not getting any cookies!!"

"I am not about to let someone go without!"

This weekend was the first time the kids got to see their first cousin on the Harman side! Alex of course being the little mother she is loved holding little Cole. Jake on the other hand was up to his mischief has soon as he got the chance.

In memory of......

This last weekend we took a trip to Fillmore, Utah for my Grandma Millies funeral. I haven't been to a funeral for a very long time and wasn't really prepared for the emotional roller coaster is was. We were all so happy and so sad at the same time. My grandma had suffered from cancer for about four months and by the end it was too much to bear for the people around her. It was a blessing to see her go yet thinking there will be no more visits or big breakfasts we used to have, or just laughing till my side hurt because of how funny she was is very sad. I will miss her terribly and my world just isn't the same without her, thank goodness for the knowledge of the ressurection.

Alex and Grandma Millie had a very special bond. Alex would call her "Grape" Grandma, she loved her so much and would hate to leave her house when we would visit.

"LOVE" Weekend....

Valentines Day really isn't mine and Cams thing, we go through the motions of giving eachother cards and Cam always pulls through with the roses, but we just aren't the lovey dovey couple that plans romantic things. BUT this year we had a leftover gift card from Christmas to Flemings Steakhouse and decided to use it. Let me just say HOLY COW!! This place was amazing! We actually felt a little uncomfortable with how nice and fancy it was. We are In-N-Out people, and the fanciest we ever get is the Cheesecake Factory. Needless to say we had an awesome meal, and even more awesome dessert. I'm not sure we will be going back anytime soon with how expensive it was, but it was one for the books!!

Entertainment...

This afternoon me and Jake were running some errands and the cashier at Trader Joes gave Jake some voting stickers. I didn't pay much attention to what he was doing for awhile while we were driving back home, and then I looked back and he was staring at the tv like this, like nothing was out of the ordinary. Cute stuff!

Silly times.....

Me and Jake get to hangout alone a couple of times a week when Alex is in pre-school. These are some of the funniest and silliest times with Jake. He is a character! The funniest thing about it is that he really thinks that he is the coolest dude ever. He LOVES to sing and dance. I will crank up the music in the house and he will go crazy. A song will end and he will yell "Moy mom moy!!" (moy meaning more). Another of his favorite things to do lately is to try to attempt summersaults. He is getting better at them, but sometimes he goes so fast and hard I think he is going to break his neck. We have such a great time with one another and I look forward to these moments. This video is Jake singing his new favorite song.

Fun filled weekend!

We had a fun time over the weekend. Alex got a new bike for Christmas and won't stop asking to ride it every night so we took a trip around the block a few times. She's a crazy girl on that thing! We thought it would take some time to get used to her "big girl" bike but she is already asking to take her training wheels off after seeing her friend Nate ride without them. We had to come back in the house after going around because believe it or not it was too cold to be out there when the sun went down.

The stadium where the Super Bowl was is about 15 min away from our house so we went over to where they were having a bunch of activites going on and watched the cool fountain shows and walked around the shops. There was a NFL Experience thing with a ferriswheel and autograph signings but the line was ridiculous and we didn't think the kids could last a 2 hour wait :) so we bypassed that one. We did see John Elway for about 5 seconds speaking at some gathering, Cam thought that was pretty cool. On Sunday we got the announcement that our ward would be splitting and that we would be moved to 8am church. Holy cow! That's pretty early but i'm way more excited about it then staying at 1:30. After church we headed over to our friends the Smiths for Mat's Super Bowl/30th Birthday party (sorry Mat, I had to throw in the age :)) and had a great time as always when we get together. I hope all of you had as good as a weekend as we did!!!
