One year older and wiser too....

Oh man!! I'm going to have an eight yr old next year! Wow... it's all I can do not to wrap her up in a blanket and rock her to sleep at night.  Alex has grown up SO much in the last year.  First grade, teeth falling out, reading, writing, being smarter than mommy, growing like a weed, the list goes on and on.  Her birthday was last Saturday, we had a early soccer game, which yes, that is me as the coach this year.  I'm not sure how I got sucked into being the coach, but I do love it.

She was SO lucky to have Grandpa and Grandma come down for the big weekend.

All Alex wanted to do was go miniture golfing for her birthday, but with the forecast saying it was to be 107 that day, we found a better option in bowling.  I mostly videoed because of how hilarious it was to watch the kids bowl but ended up with this blurry beauty of me and Charlie.

All the players.....

We had a caketastorphie with Aunt Cris not being able to attend, but me and mom made it work.  Here's to next year Cris!  Happy Birthday Alex!

More Randoms.....

Jakey started preschool three times a week this year!  Yeah for all of us!! J/K, I really miss his crazy silliness when he's gone.  But me and Charlie get some one on one which is fun.

Like this day when I was weeding the yard and turned around and found this big mess to clean up.  Hilarious!  I still can't figure out how she got so much all over her face.

For Labor day we went up to St. George for Cam's sister's little Maddox's baby blessing.  I didn't take any pictures other than me, the kids and grandpa fishing at one of the golf courses ponds.  Don't tell my dad, but when he said we were fishing at a golf course I thought to myself that this was going to be the lamest fishing adventure ever.  It turned out EVERY cast we caught a fish!  It was a ton of fun and the kids loved it.  My dad did know what he was talking about :)

Jake wanted everything to do with reeling the fish in but NOTHING to do with the fish afterwards.  He would NOT touch them.

Charlie is always grabbing someones backpack and running around with it on her back.  I finally got a picture of the girl in crime.

First Grade?!

Now that I've somewhat caught up from summer pictures (I still have wedding pics to go through) I will debut my cute first grader!  I know everyone says that they can't believe they have a kid old enough to go to school but seriously, I still feel like "goobs" was born yesterday.  I miss her SO much during the day.  Not only is she an AMAZING helper, she's just fun to have around.  She is getting into the stage of constantly chatting your ear off at any given moment.  Although being in first grade comes with alot more responsibility she is having alot of fun.  Her kinder teacher looped up with them so her teacher is the same and all the kids are the same.  It has helped with the nerves and scary first week of getting to know yous.  We are so proud of Alex in every way!

Charlie saw that the two olders were putting on backpacks and grabbed Alex's old one and walked towards the car.  Unfortunatley I ran to get the camera and she had taken it off when I got back.  This picture was an attempt to get all of them together.  Alex was whining about the sun being to bright, Jake thought he was going to school that day as well, he didn't have preschool for another week, but you couldn't talk him out of it, and Charlie was a little confused to what was going on with all the crazines. I think it's just perfect, real life :)

In first grade you get your own desk.  Boy were the kids all excited!  I'm not so sure her teacher was when it was all they could do to keep their sticky fingers out of the desks all day.
