"Scooner"

Jake has a new hobby!! He watched Alex enough and started to get brave and ride her scooter around alot. We saw how good he was getting and how much he loved to be outside and ride it so we thought a few weeks ago we could hit two birds with one stone. Jake still had his "bink" at night in bed and we thought it was time to seperate the two. We decided that maybe we could bribe him into getting his own scooter if he threw away his binky. We both didn't really know what to expect but when we had a little talk with him and explained he was a big boy now and that he didn't need his "bink" and that a big boy should have his own scooter, he went for it. WHEW! He threw his binky away and we headed to the store and got him a "Pider" scooter. That night we were a little nervous on what he would do after he realized what he had done, but with a quick cry and maybe a little shunning us for a bit he got over it and did fine. I have to say he doesn't take quite as long of naps now but with one of the many milestones hit we feel grateful. I also have to say it is quite hilarious that a short little guy that can barely see over the bars of his scooter can be so good at it! He will go down big hills and crash and stand right back up and just laugh it off. He is quite the character.

Oh my! That is the cutest thing ever. What a brave boy! I am glad you tackled the binky thing. I am debating on the best time for Daisy. We tried last night and all she did was stay up really late and talk REALLY loud in her room. Poor Amanda. I am glad he still takes naps though. I am worried Daisy won't. Give your kids hugs and kisses. We miss you all!

Wow, we just got Noah one and he's not so talented yet...maybe after some practice! Plus I think I screwed the wheels on too tight the first time!
