Carving Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins here in AZ is a little interesting. If you do it too early, in a few days the pumpkin is nothing but mush. So, the day before is always best if you want it lit and only half deformed from the heat on Halloween night!
Alex found a marker and started decorating before we started to carve!
Jake kept tasting the pumpkin!
Cam thought it would be funny to give the pumpkin a una-brow! Overall it was a success!

Random Halloween pics...

We were trying on Halloween costumes and obviously this is how Jake felt about it!

Alex made this cookie at preschool and when we got home she demanded we take a picture of its coolness!

Back in time........

I remember when we would all get together as a family in the Harman household and sit and watch this movie around Halloween time. So, when I saw that it was coming out this year I hurried to the closest Wal-mart and bought it for the kids. I was so excited to have the kids watch it, I made popcorn and set out a blanket for us to watch it together. Needless to say the kids were NOT as excited as their child for mother. BUT, I keep putting it on and Jake is really getting into it! Anyway, I just wanted to say to all of you kids at heart give into those childlike tendencies! Totally worth it!

Bumpas glasses......

One morning in Idaho we were just finishing breakfast and I went to go find Jake for a his bath and I found him in front of the TV with Grandpas reading glasses watching the Backyardigans, upside down even. It was too funny, I had to take a picture.

Pumpkin Patch!!!

When we were in Idaho we went to the local pumpkin patch.
Jake kept picking up the pumpkins and throwing them,
needless to say they were glad when we left.

Fifty cents for Aunt Cris!!

Bittersweet memories.......

We recently took a trip to visit my parents in Idaho. For those of you that don't know, I grew up on a farm in Rupert, Idaho. My dad has recently sold the farm and it was the last potato harvest this year, so we went up and hungout with the troops. It was all a bittersweet event. We all are excited for my dad to move on after thirty years, but after twenty-four of those years i'm having mixed feelings. Anyway, the kids had a great time and we got to see the first snow fall. We also spent some time at my grandmas in St. George who recently had a birthday. All in all it was a great trip. We are having withdrawls from the fall weather that we never see here in Phoenix, but other than that we are glad to be home.
