We have been meaning to take the kids to the Polar Express in Flagstaff since we moved to Arizona seven years ago. Oops. We finally made the plans to go this year and it was magical. The kids were giddy with excitement over just seeing snow. It is so fun to watch them get excited about little things like snow :) We surprised Alex and Jake by taking them out of school early to drive up to Flagstaff and told them in the car where we were going. They immediately started asking about the snow and if they would see Santa Clause.
The hotel we stayed in was amazing. It was all decked out in Christmas decorations and a little village out front.
We had a great buffet dinner before the train ride, which the kids loved, they had an ice cream bar for dessert.
We had a 8:00 departure time on the train so we warmed up by the hotels HUGE fireplace while we waited.
On our way.........
Favorite picture of the night!!!! Of all three, she was the most excited!
After yummy hot cocoa and cookies, we came up on the North Pole to see Santa......
I only got pictures of Santa with my phone and they didn't turn out great....
The next day we took the kids sledding in the mountains. We just pulled off on the side of a backroad and let them play! Cam, Charlie and I got burned out way before Jake and Alex so we just sat in the car with the heater on and watched them play. They were in heaven!
Nothing cuter than a baby in snow gear
