Weekend without dad.....

Cam went out of town to San Antonio to see his brother that is going to Iraq in a couple of weeks. He and his other brother Eric got the chance to go at the same time to make it a "bros" trip. They headed out to the beach Friday with the nephews Grant and Sam and apparently Adam and boys were the only smart ones and put sunscreen on. Needless to say Cam and Eric were hurting pretty bad and will never forget the sunscreen again. It sounds like Cameron had a great time, I am so glad he got the chance to hangout with both his brothers that we don't get to see very often. On the homefront here in AZ me and the kids were left to fend for ourselves with our favorite dinner spaghetti and ice cream every night! Friday we went out to the Scottsdale mall and did some birthday shopping for my sistas (sorry for the late presents girls!) and in return for letting me go to a few stores I took the kids to their favorite mall playground and got a PB Loco go bananas parfait to share. Friday night we all snuggled in my bed and watched Nanny McPhee (really quite good) and then off to bed. Saturday we were all pumped up to have a picnic and go out to a splash park that is about 25 min away, but when we got there the water was shut off. We decided to at least have fun on the two playgrounds they have there and still have a picnic. The Smiths joined us so the kids didn't seem to mind, they ran through the sprinklers that were on in a nearby grass area and that seemed to satisfy their needs. Saturday night we watched some more movies and just relaxed. We did alot of coloring and alot of just being silly, but we now miss daddy and are ready for him to come home!
